SoloDark: Solo Rules for Shadowdark RPG (Print + PDF)

This is essential for the solo player or GM who wants to test out their scenarios.

As someone who runs Shadowdark as their primary game because they love it so much, it pains me that I haven't yet had the chance to be in the Player Character seat. Until now! Kelsey has crafted an excellent solo RPG that captures the spirit and feeling of what makes Shadowdark so thrilling, distilled into a single-player experience. Highly recommended for foerver GMs or anyone that has been wanting to try Shadowdark but can't find a group to do so with. Also, it's super compact, should you wanna take it--and a set of dice--on a solo trip somewhere.

This supplement is a great addition to my Solo Roleplaying reference material. It's great for GM prep too! Allowing me to simulate a module or encounter if I am too worried about it resulting in a TPK. You can learn a lot about the game and run it all by yourself! Also, don't be afraid to use it at your table if even YOU don't have the answer to a player's question!

Now, onto the physical product. It's a simple two staple down booklet in the same size as the rulebook with a soft cover and standard page stock. The cover's material feels softer than standard card stock and the paper has significant weight. I was a little surprised by the blank pages in the booklet as other Shadowdark products have maximized their available page space.

Excellent and concise rules to use for playing Shadowdark solo. I only get to GM Shadowdark once per month, so having the option to play Shadowdark solo is awesome. I initially downloaded the rules PDF, but since then I purchased the booklet. It's well put together and contains everything you need. Another awesome product from the Arcane Library!
