Cursed Scroll Zine, Vol. 1: Diablerie! PDF (Shadowdark RPG)

Cursed knights channeling demonic power, mist-addled forests where witches and warlocks stalk the trees, and crumbling castles housing ancient, eldritch creatures!

The first-ever issue of Cursed Scroll Zine is here to add diabolical new ideas to your TTRPG game world! Inside its 68 pages, you'll find:

  • The Hideous Halls of Mugdulblub, a 1st-level dungeon crawl heavy on exploration, factions, and sorcerous wonder
  • The Gloaming, a gloomwrought hex crawl in a misty, demon-haunted forest and swamp
  • Three new classes for Shadowdark RPG: witch, warlock, and knight of St. Ydris
  • 36 new spells, 6 eldritch warlock patrons, 20 character backgrounds
  • 14 new monsters, including the legendary Willowman
  • Classic, hand-drawn maps and player-safe JPEGs for virtual table tops

Cursed Scroll uses Shadowdark RPG rules, but it's easily compatible with any old-school fantasy roleplaying system.

Love the Gloaming

I love this zine. It's definitely my style. Love the spooky dark ascetic. I can't wait to make a class in this zine.

Good Start!

So e new interesting classes. Not of interest to me, but they look like some may enjoy the darker themed. The adventure looks fun and the map is very interesting and has potential outside of the adventure.
I like the format of something new for the game plus an adventure. A little something for everyone.

Out of the Shadows into the Light

I really like the system, it is oldschool and feels new at the same time. I only play online and am looking forward to a conversion for Fantasy Grounds.
Keep up the good work. The Zines are a great way to introduce new Systems. I would like to see more lore for SD, but you could just play a e1/e2 campaign and have all of that and this System.
Greetings

Fun. Evocative.

I love the Cursed Scroll Zines

They really make Shadowdark “come alive”

This issue was a little too satanic for my liking, but I know that’s a subjective opinion, so no points dinged.

The quality in these are great.
They have enough to get you rolling down hill. And give you and your players breathing room to populate the rest of it.

I get more value out of them than from the $50 supplements from the big company. Easily.
