Super fun

I have been itching to run an Arcane Library adventure for a while and finally got the opportunity to with this one-shot module. I'm a newer DM with just about 14 games behind me. My players had just finished a long journey and were in need of a rest, so I decided to throw this at them. Very intuitive to read and run on the fly. A good blend of horror and mystery. The basement map is really nice, specifically the altar room. My players loved the blood-soaked ground. They perked up like I'd never seen them before when they got to the dining room and learned about the vampiric ritual. The combat opportunities were engaging. Cecil wrecks. Don't underestimate the pack tactics of the Eternal Scions either. I had them swarm to PCs and the rogue and druid fell in the first combat round. My crew barely made it out alive. If not for my paladin's Turn Undead I don't think they would have. Five level six PCs for reference. I have bought several Arcane Library adventures to have ready and cannot wait to run more.

Definitely recommend!

A very cool story that works as a one-shot or as a little interlude in a larger campaign. Resources, cards, and maps are all great! Perfect for a new DM like me or someone more experienced. Big thanks to the creator for the great work :)

Lots of fun

We had lots of fun playing this scenario as a one-shot. It was very easy to play, also for a first-time DM. The scenario provides the right amount of detail and background to be able to smoothly run a session.

pretty user friendly

was able to run this with a table of 6 4th level players. I did end up editing the battle stat cards a bit as it was not super clear which character got which card in the heat of battle. I wish it had more pictures of the characters but generally was a really fun game and easy enough to alter to fit our time goals. will for sure be running again.
